- GordonThreeExplorerSomebody needs to invent a radio-thermal generator safe enough for RV use, with a few kW output.
- Kayteg1Explorer IIJust kidding. Beside the weight, I love my Honda 3000.
It will run AC at full blast for over 12 hr, while Champion for 5-6.
Don't think I would like to refuel very hot generator on very hot afternoon.
Than give it couple more years and somebody will invent 20 lb generator good to power AC ;) - jake2250Explorer

Anybody wants to buy slightly used Honda EU3000 ?
just to chime in on the new Champion Generators,, inverter or not,I was just camping and a a really nice camper about six spots away from us had a Champion 3100 inveter generator, I was walking my dog and we passed by. That thing was as quiet as my Honda 2000 IE, I introduced myself and my dog (Hank), We talked about his gen,, Told me it runs his AC unit and everything else, said he's has it only a few months,, I was very impressed!! it was sitting int the bed of his truck running, I asked how heavy it was, He said, "grab a handle" It had two top side handles that made moving it very easy, It was about the weight of my Honda 2000,(my side of the lift). My wife can lift my Honda (doesn't like to) but when challenged she will!!
I am really thinking hard about putting my Honda 2000 up for sale and getting the 3100 Champion!! - Kayteg1Explorer IINotice the gasoline only version is $699

Shall I say my wife is 50 ft loud?
It is 58db @ 23 feet away.
Since no load is given it should mean at rated load.....basically equivalent to the Honda 58 db at full load, although I understand that most consider the Champion to be slightly louder by ear, which could be due to a different sound character (or frequency). - 2oldmanExplorer II

What da heck the 23 ft means?
Honda rating is 49 @ 1/4 load
Industry standard for generator noise measurement is 7 meters or 23 feet. - Kayteg1Explorer III know 23 feet in distance measurements, but not in sound loudness.
