- mlts22ExplorerAs for the 30A KID controller the OP mentions, the price is decent, but the Midnite Solar website seems to hedge on where they are made. There was another MPPT controller by Intronics is cheaper, but has twice the amperage and 80 volts max input... and the Intronics controller is made in the US... not "designed in the US" and fresh off a boat from China, which I am concerned this device is. (Of course, if I'm wrong, please correct me, but I much rather buy from a domestic maker when possible.)

The linked version doesn't have a battery sensor. The the more expensive marine version does at $389.
This one has battery sensor for temperature, and battery sensor for voltage, all included for $375 :)...
The only thing that would be useful for me in this Midnite is 150V input (as opposed to 100V in my Rogue), though at 30A output I can't connect the third 240W panel anyway. Something I recall from Rogue manual about paralleling 2 units and synchronizing both controllers - there is a "slave" function in the interface for that, but didn't need this so far. It's probably easier to get one 60A controller. - JiminDenverExplorer IIOn the Midnite.

- EsoxLuciusExplorerMorningstar also has a new 30 amp MPPT controller.
- BFL13Explorer IIWasn't there something posted recently by one of the company guys giving some history on the various west coast tech companies starting and merging etc, and mentioned that product as a new thing one of them started? I have "interesting story" in mind as a ref but not sure.
