The point of this post is that I will have a way to watch the shows I enjoy on cable networks without the STINKIN' commercials. Boy, was I disappointed when cable first came to town. I thought that I could pay up front and watch stuff without commercials. I was wrong. Anyway, back to the point. With HDHomeRun (a network attached tuner and software) and MCEBuddy (a Windows program), I record what I want to see on my media PC. When it's done, MCEBuddy strips out the commercials and transcodes the video into the format I choose. So I can watch recorded programs on any device I have over my home network. With football, I just start watching from the beginning after the game has been on for about an hour. I skip forward through the commercials, and finish about the same time as the game.
