Another reason to have separate components. I would not connect a 10 amp transfer switch and limit the circuit in an RV. I realize the OP is not using the TS.

nothing is running thru the inverter or the output wiring when the genny is running
i an NOT on shore power, and NOT using the Pass thru
it is being used as a stand alone inverter
and the inverter has NO problems with my TV PC cooling FANS, etc..
and handles the 750 cooking watts no problem
it is a 2400w surge, 1200w continuous
the discussion was not meant to be defined by the internal TS/pass thru
the posting was to keep people abreast of whats available
a 1200w TSW know brand for $169
i did thorough searching before purchasing,
at 11.5# its not a tiny light weight, although not as heavy as the best built more expensive models, many brands offer similar power
1000/2000w models that weigh considerably less, only 7# or so
