What on Earth is so "special" about 48 volts for average use in the average RV???
Use in EVs for their drive motors is one thing, use in RVs for routine camping use is another thing.
IMHO, what the RV world needs is lithium (or some other technology) based batteries that pack a lot more energy into the SAME FORM FACTORS as good old lead acid based batteries have come in for decades - whether it be 6V golf cart battery sizes or 12V Group XX battery sizes. When are drop-in new technology batteries in these sizes coming at affordable prices?
(I suspect that most of the new battery technology development money is aimed at lower resistance losses during the periodic high current drains required in electric vehicle applications ... hence 48 volt and higher new technology battery packs. As usual - "follow the money".)
