89 AH at 48 volts is like 350 AH AH at 12 volts, you would need about 700 AH of lead acid to equal that.
well not quite..
to get any life from lithium you have to stay within 20% to 90% SOC
and never charge to 100% or discharge below 20% SOC
so for 89Ah the useable capacity is 89 * 0.7 = 62 Ah.
Pb is useable to 50% DOD normally so 62 * 2 = 124 Ah equiv at 48V
12 V would be 496 Ah that's two Surrette S-550's in series
at current prices normal 3.2V LiPO 90Ah cell = $110 so 110 * 16 = $1760
cost per KWh approx = $592 and weigh 48Kg or 105 Lbs
Pb would be two 6V Surrette S-550's in series. $350 * 2 = $700
cost per KWh approx = $235 and weigh 112Kg or 246 Lbs
a better fit performance wise might be to go AGM instead of FLA
so two Concorde PVX-4050's would work.. $580 * 2 = $1160
ooohh i'm on a roll today.. time for my medication.. :B
