OK now justify the price. $ vs service vs cost per total kWh versus inconvenience
good question..
For me personally there is no way in hell I could justify spending
$900+ dollars on a 12V 100Ah battery.. jeez :E
but then I'm not in a 12V box either and I know better how to assemble and maintain higher voltage cell packs. so I build them to better fit MY requirements.
now, one could justify the purchase given what I think are the
pertinent arguments.
1. The user has no clue about batteries, is neither interested or willing to learn and likes the idea of a totally maint free battery that will last 5 years, and give him/her bragging rights on how light his wallet has become !
2. Could be that the user has a "need" for a 5000 Watt inverter on 12V and sees Li as a good solution because of it's high discharge currents so therefore "must" be the correct solution.
3. More legitimately, user could be seeking high capacity in a light weight package if this is of major concern.
Note: if you are in item 2 above then please contact me, I have a good range of fire extinguishers to sell you. :B
