these are true drop in replacements. however, you pay the price for this convenience.. the packs have every protection going to prevent overcharge, cell balancing and anything else you can think of to cover their asses.. !
I "mean like this " IF, and only IF, those drop ins contain, say, only four 3.2V lithium single cells wired in series to get 12.8 volts ... AS OPPOSED TO a whole bunch of small amp hour capacity lithium singls cells wired together in parallel-series such that a whole bunch of (inherently unreliable) inter-connections are present. ;)
What data do you have to share to back up that claim about interconnected being unreliable?
