OK, all you dc electric experts. I'd like to revive this thread a little. It seems as though several bought this meter, so maybe a little collaborative effort can work. I did get it installed in a weatherproof box next to the batteries. I had a problem initially using internal power, by not noticing that the jumper had to be switched to the 2W position. I set the battery setting to 215 aH, and the BPC to 100%. I had just taken the camper off shore power so had some surface charge on the batteries. I thought I'd just reset it later. So, a few questions:
-How do you zero the hall effect current sensor?
-How do you reset the BPC? Remove power from sending unit and meter?
-It appears to show negative numbers when the battery is being charged.
-The sellers pictures showed both a white background and a black background, but I cannot find a way to change that.
-I'm having trouble deciphering what the various readings mean. Remaining capacity graph is self explanatory as is voltage, current, power and Remaining capacity %. I've not had the pleasure of having a battery monitor in the past, and the directions are poor enough that I can't make it out. The internet is no help on this meter.
Anyway, thanks to all who help on this forum.
