I bought one, too. I was hoping to use it on our Toyota Highlander car (2018) which has a parasytic draw problem but it’s looking like that won’t happen because both positive and negative battery posts are connected to multiple wires that come together only at the large battery connector and it will be difficult to get them through the Hall Effect sensor (3/4 inch). I hesitate to modify the wiring to one cable from battery post to some kind of connector to the several cables on our new car.
The parasytic draw is proving difficult to figure out. Turning the automatic headlights to off from auto cut the current from half an amp to a quarter amp. Warmer weather dropped it further to a tenth of an amp, which is not much of a problem. If any readers can think of a reason why the car draws more current when cold I am very interested.
I am happy with having a spare monitor for the RV, which has a $25 monitor using a shunt to measure current that has been working well for several years.
