Is reverse current ever an issue? I've installed a lot of 12 volt DC solar battery systems for work and never did any of the engineers configure reverse current protection. Some of these systems control gates and valves on dams in remote backcountry locations where AC power is not available. Radio signals control the operations remotely.
Maybe someone could explain why reverse current protection is needed.
