I don't have a link to it right now, but I recently read about a test by Consumer Reports that established that tires lose a bit less in pressure when filled with nitrogen than with "air". Air leaks through the rubber, and nitrogen leaks slower.
I also believe the temperature of the tires doesn't rise quite as much with pure nitrogen, though I have no proof of that to offer.
nitrogen is a slightly larger molecule than oxygen, even though it's atomic weight is lower. Hence you will see less pressure loss. but not a lot less since your either filling with 80 percent nitrogen or 100 percent nitrogen.
