NO DC Voltage unless camper is plugged in 120 volts!

Now a NEW problem, I have NO 12 volts in the camper...unless the coach
is plugged in to 120 volts, or on Gen. power

Got a clue, as I do NOT hear the relay activate when I plug and unplug
the power cable into 120 volt line.

On further trouble shooting, the Auto transfer sw. is working
as prescribed. After starting the Gen. while MH is plugged into
shore power, I can load and unload the Gen. and the RPM/pitch
will change.

So I have to surmise that the relay is stuck in whatever condition
I usual hear when I plug into shore power.
AS I HEAR NOTHING WHEN I PLUG AND UNPLUG TO SHORE POWER!

The sw. by the door (batt. disconnect relay) appears to be switching
power, and batt. mode switch I can activate it by jumping power
to coil.

I assume (batt. mode switch) is the one activated on the dash!

Is there more relays that come into play?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.....tenn.vol.

    The transfer switch will not activate when you plug the power cord into shore power. It will only activate when you start your generator and it stabilizes power(30 seconds). If you have no 12volts when unplugged you need to check your battery and any fuses/circuit breakers connected to the battery.

    A voltage measurement would be informative. If the DC voltage is zero, it would have to be a fuse or disconnection. If low, likely battery trouble.

    I have a good door sw. and a good relay disconnect,
    as it is switching the 12v off and on.

    I opened up the charger under the oven, checked the 2 --30amp
    fuses, both good. But there was now 12 volts on a large BLACK
    wire coming to the charger. All with no shore power.

    So 12 v left on a red wire and went to the charger on a black wire.
    Tell me that somewhere switched/fused and changes red to black.

    I only know 2 sets of reset fuses, on the step and above the frig.
    that I know of!

    Thanks for the input, now a new/fresh start TODAY!

    Midnight, I did not have the batteries tested, as they are
    13.5 volts on charger and slightly less off charger.

    Big question that might help us troubleshoot your problem What is your RV?
    Year, make, model, etc. We really need more information to help you.

    I found the problem, chased 12 v thru the 55 amp behind the
    steps. Chased it thru a large (2 wire) blue plug.
    When I pushed back the chafe wrap I could see copper wire.
    I dont think the lug was ever locked in the blue plug.

    I may go back and shorting the other cable as it keeping
    the short cable from seating.
