- Costs money to put your label on someone else's product. They may have contracted a better price without the Kirkland label.
You may also see this at Sam's Club and Walmart. Seems they are reducing number of house brands and going with name brand at lower price. - RoyBExplorer II
- Neither Kirkland nor Interstate actually make batteries.
What model GC2 was displayed? Price? - wwestExplorer~$83.
- jfkmkExplorerNever had good luck with Kirkland batteries. Not in the car nor in the home. Their warrantee on the car batteries was good, but I had to replace them every other year, which became a hassle.
- downtheroadExplorerKirkland doesn't make batteries or underwear... Just a label on someone else's product anyway.

ALL batteries are built to the Distributors specifications. So, just because there are 2 or 3 battery makers, does NOT mean that ALL batteries are built the same. Doug- RedJeepExplorerAlways had good luck with Costco batteries in my diesel pickups.

Went to Costco last week, and found that they no longer had Kirkland batteries.
Duracell in the flashlight aisle, and Interstate in automotive.
anyone know the scoop?
Do not know about Duracell.. Well, they have always had that in the flashlight isle.
As for Interestate, a product of either US-Battery or Johnson controls.
Kirkland,, Same manufacturers. Johnson Controls in the east, and I believe US-Battery in the west.
In short, The same battey, different paint job. - hawkeye-08Explorer IIIYep, no more prorated warranty either. The Kirklands had xx months free replacement and then xx months of prorated.
The Interstate (at least the one I got for my truck at Costco) has a xx month free replacement and nothing after that.
