non powered 8000 btu heater with through the wall exhaust

Just what a boondocker who wishes to heat with propane needs. It even has a thermostat. It is available at Amazon for a lower price--but the write up at Home Depot is better. I believe it is lower cos...

Hi Jim,

I tried a 1500 watt fan based heater in the cupboards with zero success at freeze protection. What does work (at least down to -37 C {-34 f}) is dual window fans to replace the return air grill. The wattage needed dropped from 1500 down to 27. In my case it also pressurizes the duct work keeping other areas safe, too.
