AFTER August 26th which is the DEADLINE for all Owners to file. Then you must wait for the final hearing(9/16/2016), then once all the submitted claims are tallied and the dates are verified they will issue checks. Read the link. Doug

Norcold is NOT paying the claims. Norcold is supplying the money. The Lawyers are getting their Millions(read the link) and then dividing up what is left depending on how many Norcold owners file a claim by August. The smaller amount of claims by owners, the larger the checks for the people who do file. So, it is BEST to KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT AND YOUR ON-LINE POSTINGS TO NOTHING. According to the class action website, if you can prove $1700 in repair costs, your to receive $3100 over three years with the initial payment coming shortly after the September hearing. If you have not joined the class action suit, you can register online to become a part of it until Aug 26th. This action covers you if you still own this refrigerator or have owned one in the passed. The only thing the website asks for when you register other than name, address and phone number is the serial number on the fridge. They will accept your registration if you do not know the serial number. I think the website is norcoldclassaction.com.

I think there were certain year models involved in this because when I checked it out, ours was too old to be included. Ours is a 2000 and still going strong even after 5 + yrs of full-time.

READ the settlement again. The AMOUNT you will receive depends on your bills and HOW MANY claimants there are. If very few claimants, you will get that $3100. But if there are a LOT, then the amount goes down. That is why there is a deadline for submitting your claim. After that deadline, if you did not send in a claim, you are not included. Doug

Mine is 4 yrs old and working fine and I use it constantly during the summer while parked in the yard. Would there be a point in joining the class action group if there is no problem as yet? I agree that there will be next to nothing to distribute after the lawyers get their share.

Mine is a 2012 model, runs six to seven months out of the year with out a problem.
