Silly question. Would one of those standard chemical-based de-humidifiers placed in the fridge help with keeping the ice off the fins? (no moisture = no ice) The kind with the little chemical balls sitting in a basket with a bucket to catch the water? Any health issues keeping one in the fridge? (when not moving, of course)
I don't think they work fast enough- at least not as fast as the cold fins. Healthwise, I believe they are just calcium chloride- ironically the same as de-icer.
