Norcold fridge

Last fall our Norcold 1210 fridge blew 8 amp glass fuse. Replaced fuse and worked good all winter. Started up yesterday and blown again. Put in a new fuse and it blow immediately. Where do I start trouble shooting? Fridge works good on lp.
  • If the refer stays ON with the 8 amp fuse blown, the 120 elements are shorted out. Does the spec call for a 8 amp fuse and is this fuse located on the Norcold rear control module? Doug
  • Original fuse was 8 amp, so I assume it was from factory. Fuse is located in the black circuit board box on back of fridge
  • The 8A GLASS Fuse is for the 120VAC Circuit......electric elements --TWO of them

Unplug the element leads for circuit board....then replace fuse
If it blows...circuit board 120VAC Circuit is shorted
If it does NOT blow.........element is shorted ---have to replace BOTH
