Norcold hinge

The bottom of our fridge door where the hinge post connects broke, its plastic. There is no replacement part except the entire door at $135. My fix was to install a 1.5 inch wide x 1/8 inch thick flat aluminum. The hinge post on our 1200 Norcold is 1/4 inch. Rivit this in place along the bottom of the door.
