Norcold inside humidity

I have the 4 door Norcold fridge in a 2013 5er. Ever since we've had it the humidity inside has been really high with lots of water on the ceiling of the fridge. The doors were "adjusted" many times with no effect. We just had the doors all replaced due to the seals tearing. It's still wet inside. Ideas to try??
  • My current refer is a Norcold 2-door and it was drippy for a while after I bought the RV, but I soon rectified that by adding a stirring fan. They make a commercial device but I don't care for them and came up with my own DIY setup.

Can't guarantee it'll make a difference with your refer, but it's worth a try since your warrantee has expired.

Here's a link to my blog article that covers installation: Refer Fan
  • Window Shopping (standing there with doors OPEN) allows all the COLD air to escape and WARM air to enter.
Then fridge has to cool that warm air down....moisture in that warm air condenses

Warm air can also come in via the drip pan drain line if the end of it is not in the recovery cup in backside of fridge compartment which has some water in it.

Check the door seals........dollar bill pulls out of closed door easily seals are NOT stopping cold air out/warm air in (Try several areas around the doors)

The higher the humidity the more moist air can enter fridge everytime doors are opened
  • Is the refer run 24/7? How long after you mop up the excess water does it take for the droplets to return? Doug
  • We certainly don't stand with the doors open and we full-time so it runs 24/7. The dollar bill thing worked fine until the seals gave up the ghost. The new doors are tight. Maybe we'll try an interior circulating fan. We had this same type fridge in our last 5er and never had these problems.

When I clean the moisture out it takes about a day to build up again.
