A Norcold that has the defrost cycle will only go into Defrost mode for a few hours every 48 to 54 hours. It just shuts the cooling process down for about 2 hours. I do NOT know if the green indicator light goes off at that time. Remember, every 48 to 54 hours just for a few hours. If yours does this sooner than that, you have another problem. Doug
