to run the Norcold you a 500w unit..it will use 360w
but to be ready to run a residential fridge
you need 1000~1500w CONTINUOUS load ability to handle the start up compressor surge
the residential will only draw 100~200 running, but has a large start current
the Norcold draws more running..but NO start surge..its using a heating element..
