Yes in every instance the freezer has gotten to around 0 even when the roof vent was blocked.
Additional details on my troubleshooting:
- Original thermistor replaced with a new OEM thermistor.
- Ran with the thermistor unplugged (continuous cooling) with no immediate improvement.
- Verified both electric and LP operation. Same symptoms on both.
- Heating element/boiler area remains hot, indicating the refrigerator is calling for cooling.
- No ammonia smell or yellow residue visible.
- Added two 4” exhaust fans at the roof vent and verified airflow.
- IR thermometer shows the refrigerator cooling fins are only about 47°F on the right side and 57°F on the left when the refrigerator is reading around 50–56°F.
