Where did you even find a cooling unit replacement for that model of fridge?
I have the service/parts manual - I got it off the internet. Looking for the part number in the manual, I located several sources on-line.
$1300 sounds like a cooling unit for a 'larger' fridge
Agree, but the part number I searched on is what came back with the $1300 figure - PN 161012000; Cooling Unit, built before March 2003.
Wasn't aware of replacement units for that portable fridge.

The unit began to not keep things as "hard" frozen about six months ago. Now, everything seems to work (fan comes on, the compressor seems to function - I can hear and feel it operating, but no cold!!
