Good evening, sorry to hear about your problem. The problem is the gas jet orific is for operation at sea level. It is too large an orific for operation at 6000ft. Need to decrease size 4%/1000 ft above 2000ft. So if your jet is 39 you need a 42 or 43. The number refers to the drill bit size higher # is a smaller size. The problem at high altitude is the gas to air volume portion is screwed up due to fewer oxygen molecules per volume of air. Will send you a great reference clarifying this concept. Don't have it with me . You are in an auster environment in a remote location. This calls for thinking and improvising in your situation you can't buy yourself out of the problem. So two options. Google Norcold find out the various jet orific sizes for different models. Replace your jet with another with smaller orific. Two, pull jet solder opening closed get proper driill bit and drill new opening of appropriate size. Test it you can always increase or decrease the opening size dictated by performance in the field. Suggest you continue to google high altitude gas jet orific sizing. You will find a reference the the proper formula to calculate orific size as well as charts plotting altitude and size.
