1. A defective Norcold Temp Thermister will TEST OK. The only way to tell is to replace the Thermister.
2. There is NO heater on a Norcold Defrost cycle. The "defrost" cycle is just a 2 hour refer shut OFF every 48 to 54 hours. ONLY if the refer is left ON. To stop the Defrost cycle, just turn the refer OFF and ON once a day. That restarts the 48 to 54 hour timer.
3. Make sure the evaporator drain hose plug/check valve is installed. That keeps warm air from migrating back up to the refer. Doug
