Bayite DC 6.5V-100V Digital ammeter voltmeter Amazon suggested this for me and I'm thinking for $20 I might just give it a try. Has very good reviews too.

the Ebay store where i ordered the 200amp version
has 400 amp and 600 amp versions
basically its the same meter with different programming and a much larger shunt for the larger loads
