OBD 1 or 2 Location

Hello
I have a 2001 Flair 26F , 8.1 GMC , P32 Workhorse chassis I have looked under the dash for the OBD connector but do not find it. Didn't see it in the engine compartment either. I hope it is not way under where you need a trained monkey to find it.
thanks Bob
  • The OBD plug is supposed to be located within inches of the steering column and no tools are to be required to access the plug.
  • Try this: About 8"-10" back from outer edge of dash 3"-4" toward driver door from column.
  • OBD II connectors are required to be within 2 ft of the steering column, so it has to be there somewhere! Manufacturers are allowed to cover the connector, so look for a small cover. I recall having my car inspected and seeing signs that owners of certain BMWs needed to remove the cover themselves, as it wasn't really easy to do, and the cover often broke.
