My intent with this thread is to get people to think. Since I was born it has been drilled into everyone's head -- "it's the flu and a virus and nothing can be done about it"
The stupid blizzard of different Pneumococcal strains can cause damage fast. It's vital to not let the @#$%^&! bacteria to run amok in a body that has been weakened. The bacteria is around us daily but an immune system not weakened by influenza can successfully fight it off. When frail old people get pneumonia they usually do not survive.
I used to get sore throat and bronchial congestion with a bad cold. Then being antibiotics are easier to get down here I tried ciprofloxacin. No sore throat and no bronchial congestion. It's been 5 years now. And five or six pretty nasty colds. But no more sore throat and bronchial problems. I know how to dose myself and how long a course should last.
The utter surprise of those specialists that something the JAMA recommended, was unknown to them. Almost as bad as the ER doctor in Sebastopol CA who sternly admonished "You cannot possibly have a magnesium deficiency! Magnesium is the most abundant element on earth!" After the labs came back he marched in, handed me a prescription for "The Most Abundant Element On Earth" then left without saying a word. My magnesium was "1" far far too low.
Good health to all of you. Even with the inoculation, this flu is no fun.
