"Oh Look I Am Pasting This On The Front Of My HF Charger

Why? Well this is a digital ammeter good to fifty amperes. No biggee. OK, add on a halfway accurate voltmeter, something the HF and few other chargers have. BUT WAIT! THERE'S MORE!

This meter has kWh measurement capacity. Not kindergarten grade mere amp hours. It will display the amount of ENERGY that is delivered to the battery under charge. Total accumulated energy.

By using and keeping track of voltage baselines, and determining the amount of ENERGY needed to bring a sealed valve regulated battery back to full OEM at rest voltage, a person stands a chance of knowing the state of being of a valve regulated battery. Yeah this means an AGM battery. Not bad for 25 dollars.

KWH is sure a valuable feature. On a device as powerful as HF, it won't even take a week to see the first kilowatt-hour proudly flowing in :)

The "10A" HF charger has been clocked at 19A in the mid 13 volt range. That's about 250W. Your kWh is registered in that week minus about 6 days, 20 hours. :)

Seriously though, energy meter of some kind is a useful thing with any charger. Energy measured in watt-hours is practical in residential applications, while kindergarten grade amp-hours is the lingo of choice in RV and automotive world.
  • my Turnigy watt meter / power meter does all that
    Turnigy power meter

The TURNIGY watt meter is a very accurate R/C amp/watt meter.
Predict model airplane flight time with any given propeller.
Ensure peak currents are safe for motor, ESC, wiring and connectors
    Check battery health and performance.
    Evaluate R/C battery charging efficiency.
Choose the best propeller or gearing and the most efficient motor
Check for wiring and connector power losses
Measure power and energy consumption of ANY device with a battery

    Spec.
Operating voltage: 4.8~60V (0V with optional auxiliary battery)
    Measures;
    0~130A, resolution 0.01A
    0~60V, resolution 0.01V
    0~6554W, resolution 0.1W
    0~65Ah, resolution 0.001Ah
    0~6554Wh, resolution 0.1Wh
    Screen: 16x2, backlit LCD display
    Size: 85x42x25mm
    Weight: 82g

    PRODUCT ID: TR-Wattmeter

I do like the larger scale readout on Mex's meter

...So at this point the AGM remains a drool. Think I have pretty much settled on the Odyssey.

Wow. Never thought I'd see the day. Look up... for the end must be nigh!

OK where did you get this meter?

Well... judging by the annotation in the upper left corner... I think I can guess where it was made, at least.

Are you employing AGMs these days, MEX?
