How many have gone to the omni diretional antenna from the bat wing and been happy with the results? Thinking about making the change

My Arctic Fox came with one. It got equally lousy reception everywhere.
When the roof was getting replaced at the factory, I asked them to just leave it off so I could install a Jack Ant like I had in our last TT.
I get a lot (6 IIRC) more stations at home than I used to.
Haven't been anyplace else yet.
