ON a NEW WFCO 8955, at what voltage should

Good luck. As most have noted you will not ever be able to trigger boost mode. I was never able to with two different 8955's and 3 battery setups.

Doesn't seem worth it to run the batteries down to 20% when it is still doubtfull it will go into boost.

I'll run the batteries down 20% or so overnight, check the voltage after a small rest and posts the results..

you'll see 13.6 volts then dropping to 13.2 after a day or two or three.

On mine it never did. Other threads indicate the wires from the WFCO need to be very short and very large. After that have multiple batteries, run them below 50%, turn on all the lights and you may see it go to bulk for a very short time. I was never able to get this to work. Mine is in the shed waiting on me to install it in the Outback since it's converter is bad and it won't be needed to charge batteries.
