Onan 5500 generator

Question

I know this may be a dump question but I cant find anything in my manual, " does it matter it I have both the 20 amp and 30 amp line circuit breaker switchs on at the same time,when I run the air units I know it takes 30 amp should the 20 be off or dosent it matter?

If your talking about the breakers on the generator yes . One ac will be on one leg of the gen and ac # 2 will be on the other breaker on the gen.

Yep, I leave both breakers on all the time on the gen.

The generator was built that way for a reason. The 30 amp was for AC,Heaters,Microwave and other high amp items. The 20 amp side was for lights,TVs and other low amp items.
