onan AJ brushes

I've got an '85 Minnie Winnie with an Onan AJ 3.0. Got a cranking problem. Pretty sure I need a new set of brushes. My concern is the condition of the retaining caps for the brushes. They don't look too stable. If I break them on the way out, is there a source for replacements?

Check on smokstak. Guy named Onanparts may have some. You could also ask the guys if they have any. Some of them have old Onans they part out. If they can't be restored.
