Onan primer switch wiring ??
I have an older 2800 Onan Generator now and it does not cause the fuel pump to run when the "stop" side of the control switch is held down when the engine is not running in order to prime the carb. I have had other units that had this feature and they appeared to have the same double throw momentary rocker switch that this older unit has. I am hoping someone here can explain what is required to get that "stop" side of the switch to activate the fuel pump. When the genny sits for awhile it requires more cranking time than one would like to get the carb primed. Once the carb is primed it starts immediately. I'm just trying to make it easier on the starting motor system. I appreciate any info or opinions. Thanks.
