Thanks for your input gentlemen. The Delvac 1300 is the heavy truck and off-road use oil. Specs check out for the Diesel equipment so feel it would work great for all conditions that a Diesel Generator can be put thru.

Thanks for the clarification. Nice to know I'm not wrong about everything, regardless of what my spouse says. :)

Excellent oil and it's what I use in my Dodge Cummins truck engine. You should be fine. Wally World usually has it on sale for around $11/gallon.

I used to use Rotella TTT, but the results I was getting back from Blackstone Labs seemed to show that the oil was breaking down fairly quickly and it was showing some engine wear. I switched to Delvac 1300 and the reports are now showing excellent oil stability and reduced metal particles, i.e. less engine wear. So I'm sticking with it.

I use Rotella T6 15-40 non-synthetic, the same as I use in my Cat 3126.

I run the same oil in my Onan 7.5 as in my Cat C7 engine - Rotella T6 15-40 non-synthetic. Using one oil keeps you from making mistakes.
