If the porch light works, but the handle light does not, Fuse good.

Two ideas.. there are two kinds of lights they use in these.

one is a replacable bulb of the incandescent type. Basically it is a dash indicator lamp.. See "hot to access" below.

The other is a soldered in LED usually wiht too small a resistore..

    How to access:

Remove the handle,, The lamp is in one of the end brackets. You should be able to pull the wires out a bit and find a quick disconnect or two.. Tie a lead or put a clip (A good strong clip that won;t come off) on the wires past the QD and disconnect it

you can now shove the lamp assembly out through the part of the bracket where the handle used to be.

IF it is the replacable bulb type you are on your own

IF it is the LED.. Go to Radio shack and get two things, A JUMBO High brightness (Brightest they got) LED and a 450 ohm resistor (450-500 will do)

Remove the assemble and dissassemble it

Carefully unsolder the LED, and the resistor on the board

Replace the resistor with the new one you bought and

IF the connectors are polarized, Put the LED in and bend the leads but DO NOT SOLDER, re-connect and turn on.. LED lights.. Good

Led does not light, Turn off, remove lED, turn 180 degrees and re-install so the leads are reversed, try again, Led lights good

Solder and trim leads Re-assemble, you will have to drill out the reflector a bit due to the larger led. That's all folks.
  • Owners manual? have might info. Check with Thor for bulb location.
  • Don't know what I will be getting myself into when I take the handle off,is it a complicated job or simple, if its just the lamp????? Where is the lamp located and how do you get to it??? Sorry, I'm not that handy with this machine!
