If you were using an MPPT controller I'd say AWG 4 copper, but since you are using a PWM controller and ultimately expect 450 watts in panels configured in parallel, I'd go with AWG 8 copper from your combiner box to the controller. I'd use AWG 2 copper between the controller and batteries if there is five feet or less between them.
Assuming 19 volt panels and 24 amps, the controller would still be seeing at least 18 volts with 8 gauge wire.
