Parallax 7355 dying?

Noticed my lights seemed a little dim after plugging in for the first time this year. I know my battery was low to begin with but this seemed odd. Left it to charge overnight, only have 12.4 at the battery.
Started to dig into things, at the converter/charger end. A/C power coming in to the converter/charger is 118.9. The D/C side shows 12.4 Flip off the main and check, 12.1 turn main back on with multi-meter still in place, 12.4.
I suspect it may be croaking. Thoughts?
Also, can I get by with a standard battery charger kinda topping off the battery for a week or two. We are set to hitch and roll in the next few days.

  • Both 30 amp fuses appear to be fine. Just ordered the Progressive replacement, will change it out while camping if need be.
  • I changed mine to a progressive ,it works great and my batteries love it. easy change over about an,hours work.
  • Yes you can use an ordinary battery charger and get your 12v from battery and 120v from shore power/generator.

Check the two 30a reverse polarity fuses on the DC fuse panel.
