Temperature compensation correction needs to be applied. Proper float voltage at 80F is 13.2, but at 50F it is 13.8
When it is very cold your float voltage should be over 14. So the 7300 does just fine at 13.8 in many climates. When it gets hot out, just check the battery water more often. No big deal.
