We even used one or the other of our two generators 3 weeks ago in January drycamped in the Arizona sun to keep our batteries charged ... the nights were just cold enough so as to need the furnace cycling on and off all night several nights in a row. Solar wouldn't have kept up.
I don't get how one can be ready to camp anywhere anytime unless they have a generator along that at least occasionally gets used. :h
