"Dual purpose"/"marine" batteries are a compromise. Any battery that advertises Cold Cranking Amps (CCA) or Marine Cranking Amps (MCA) is NOT a true deep discharge battery. These will have a short life when used in an RV.

Better tell Rolls/Surrette that their batteries which do list CCA are not truly deep cycle.

Better tell these guys too: http://www.fullriverbattery.com/series/batteries/dc-series#view-models
While DEKA might not be considered in the same league as Rolls/Surrette or Fullriver, East Penn is as I recall the largest manufacturer of batteries in N America and presumably does have some expertise in the field, certainly more than forum pundits. :R Interesting that East Penn considers their DEKA Intimidator Series to be deep cycle batteries entirely suitable for RV use even though they do list MCA and CCA for these batteries. ;)
Who do I believe? :h Hmmmmm, now that's a tough one ... not. :S
