Instead of going with cable at home we chose to go with Dish so we could take the equipment with us in the RV. We've had Dish service since it began and have been very happy with it except of course for the price. We have the 500 channel package which is the highest priced package offered so the cost is our fault since we like to have access to lots of content.
In the RV we use a tailgater antenna with the 211 receiver and an external hard drive. It works well with just a few short pixelation problems from time to time. It's a lot better than having to set up a dish and point it each time we move.
Overall I would rate our experience with dish service, customer service and the equipment at an 8 out of 10.
Keep in mind we are in southern California so we don't get a lot of heavy rain or snow to cause signal problems.
