Aluminum. Just peachy. I purchased aluminum duplex to run 1 amp at 36 volts. The wire arrived with a copper flash plating. I soldered terminals on and enclosed the otherwise bare Al beneath a wall of 63/37. Then adhesive lined heat shrink. I would not consider unsoldered aluminum because of abrasion of tin plating due to vibration. But that's me :D
