Stayed in a CG once that had around 300 sites all with 30 amp pedestals like in the photo. The plug would barely stay in place and I had to use a stick to prop it up. After that, I bought a Camco 55205, 18" 30 to 30 amp extender (around $20). If we ever run into a bad pedestal again and don't have the option of moving to another site or CG, we can use the extender. That way, if the plug goes up in smoke and flames, hopefully just the extender will be be destroyed.
We also carry a 50 to 30 amp adapter as the first choice if the 30 amp recept. is in bad shape. If no 50 amps avail., then it's the extender.
It's not just that people yank cords out of a pedestal, it's that too many plug in with the power still on which causes pitting of contact surfaces. It's good practice to periodically inspect the blades on your plug and clean them if needed. I've seen too many crispy-looking 30 amp receptacles in pedestals and CG owners don't seem to do much about them. If CG owners were smarter, they'd put a sign on pedestals saying to turn power off before plugging in. I've only seen that once.
I would never touch someone else's pedestal for liability and safety reasons.
