Are you sure it's brackish and not just highly mineralized?
You're comment about plugging up makes it sound more like deposits and sediment.
Sodium is a solvent, that's why they use a brine rinse to clean a water softeners filter setup.
If it's sedimentation a fairly simple (read cheap & easy) air system and some basic plumbing to a small cheap compressor will do wonders to maintain flow rates.
