I just did my 5'ver with Plas-T-Cote Rubber Roof Coating last season. Happy with the results.
When I called the company to explore it more they told me to use Tide detergent powder (not liquid) for the cleaning prior to coating. I must admit it really took off a lot of the white chalking and I'm glad I did it.
I used a brush to edge and a roller to do the large parts. In hindsight, I now wish I used a brush on the whole roof. The parts that I used a roller seem thin to me while the brush parts are looking great. I used 1.5 gallons on a 34'fter.
