I've got the sears 82369 and find on the amp settings that it reads closely with a shunted meter and a DMM inline on the circuit, even down to 5 hundredths of an Amp.
Very useful tool.
When I get a MW, I am going to install a shunted ammeter on it. Perhaps one of those which both Ammeter and voltmeter on a toggle with a single display.
