CG outlets are so loose from constant use and it seems CG's do NOT want to replace them when they are worn out. Had many of discussions with CG owners about loose outlets and open ground outlets and they just shrug their shoulders. :R
I take a simple metal emery board and every time before I plug in I scrub down those blades till they are shiny gold. That stopped the plugs from melting.
Take a look at your blades if they are black like most end up being there's resistance. And putting the connection in a box like
sound guy made is IMHO a MUST have. I made mine out of of rubbermaid plastic container. We don't let cords sit in water at home but each and every RV in CG has them sometimes sitting in puddles of water!! :B
