Plumbing Water Stream Issue?

Hot water line to the vanity sink running very slowly. As well, the galley sink's water lines run very, very slowly.

I flushed the water system after completely draining with a couple gallons of vinegar several months ago, and even let the vinegar set in the system overnight.

To no avail - those particular fixtures still run very slow stream. Any possible solutions from anyone that has experienced these same symptoms with their plumbing?

Can these lines be blown out? If so, how? What's going on here?

Thanks for any positive input!

You lay have a problem with the screen being plugged on Your water pump! That's the first place that I would look!
Other causes of poor Water Flow from Hot Taps at least is the Winterizing Valve being turned or seized!

Water pump was replaced a year ago. Cold water runs like a scalded dog in the vanity cold water valve, shower valve, and the commode valve. Just, NOT the galley sink cold water (or hot water) vale(s).

OK......so why does the shower stream of hot water run almost as strong as the cold water stream?

Thanks for the tip though. Where is this "check valve on the water heater??"

Is the cold line slow as well? Did you check the aerator screen at each faucet?
No, cold water line runs full-blast on the bathroom vanity, the shower, and the commode.

BTW, the hot water stream runs fine in the shower, however, it is slowing too.

Not necessary, because the vanity and shower screens run full blast on cold.

The aerator screen on the galley sink is clear - no cold OR hot.......just a dribble.

  • How about the cold taps? Have they slowed down any. Could be the strainer at each faucet filled with junk restricting flow.
